Yaowarat, Thailand's bustling Chinatown, renowned for its vibrant commerce and street food haven, experienced an unprecedented closure for three nights to make way for the filming of Lisa's new music video.
After LLOUD Entertainment released teaser images for Lisa's solo comeback single "Rockstar" last week, the excitement reached new heights today with the release of the MV teaser on the official YouTube channel. The teaser showcased various iconic locations in Bangkok, including Yaowarat. Adding to the buzz, Thai-born K-pop idol Lisa, or Lalisa Manoban, shared an Instagram story featuring her standing in the middle of a deserted Yaowarat street, which was closed from 2 AM to 5 AM for three consecutive nights.
The temporary shutdown of Yaowarat left Thai netizens in awe, not only because of the rare closure but also due to the secrecy maintained throughout the filming process in such a crowded area.
In addition to Yaowarat, the MV teaser featured other notable Bangkok locations, including Bang Lamphu Mall and the classic Oscar Theater. The music video also highlights the talent of over 1,000 Thai dancers and supporting actors, making it a grand celebration of local culture and talent.
